Aloha techies!

We come to you with an exciting opportunity to be apart of a workshop by Anouk Wipprecht! She’s and extremely talented Engineer/ Electronic Couture designer from the Netherlands and she’s coming here to host workshops for a select group of Honolulu’s fashion designers! The workshops will be followed by a fashion show to showcase their work. We’re looking for volunteers to help!

tech: any experience with arduinos or other hardware devices (teensy, octo, neopixels, xbee), coding and soldering. design: sewing help

The workshops will be Tuesday, Nov 10 - Thursday, Nov 12 from 10am-6pm. The Fashion Show will be at the Modern Hotel on Saturday, Nov 14th. Volunteering for 2 shifts earns you a free ticket! Otherwise tickets are $100 each. Volunteer experience can range from students to professionals. If you are available and interested in volunteering please email jlblanke@hawaii.edu what your shift preferences are:

Day1 Tuesday, Nov 10

Shift 1: 10am-2pm Tech intro

Shift 2: 2pm-6pm

Day2 Wednesday, Nov 11

Shift 1: 10am-2pm

Shift 2: 2pm-6pm

Day3 Thursday, Nov 12

Shift 1: 10am-2pm

Shift 2: 2pm-6pm

If you would like to learn more about the devices you will be working with before the event, Tuesday Nov 3rd, HICapacity (makerspace in the Manoa Innovation Center) will be hosting it’s weekly hardware night and will focus on the devices that will be used during the workshop. If Tuesday does not work for your schedule, but you would still like some practice before, feel free to email me jlblanke@hawaii.edu and we will see what we can do.
